So, this is how the vote turned out.

January 7th, 2009

I’m about to blow up over this whole economy.  And, really, I’m pissed about the election and finally am writing about it.  Everyone wanted change, well, no matter who is president, this is going to be a tough term.  The whole economy is in turmoil and hopefully Obama can change that.  I’m not so sure, but I would love to be proven wrong.  Jobs are few and far between, which sucks too.  Basically, things are just bad now.

Interesting Times

October 12th, 2008

Lousy economy, war, housing in the dumps people losing jobs, price of gas, banks going under…… the list goes on. Where does it end? Have we seen the worst? My sense is no…because of the “fear factor” with people. It’s causing a snowball affect. Need to stop watching the news! On top of that it’s an election year. Boy I don’t think I would want that job right now!

Back to School

August 21st, 2008

Kids are getting ready to back to school. Not looking forward to it I might add! Seems as though summer was short. Don’t know why. Back to the schedule of going to bed at 8pm….. good for mom and I but big bummer fort them!

School clothes shopping, talk about expensive! Gotta a figure a way to stop them from growing!

Soccer Coach

October 14th, 2007

So I decided to coach my 7 year olds soccer team. I played a lot of soccer growing up…. playing is one thing teaching 7 year olds is another. They retain very little. if they get the basics of how to kick a soccer ball, what each position’s job is, how to throw the ball in and where they should be under certain circumstances you’re doing good as a coach. Just getting them to spread out and pass to their teammate is monumental. My expectations may have been a little too high …. they’ve been lowered considerably!!

Baseball season

May 9th, 2006

My son is playing tball this year. What a riot. Most of the kids are on the ground playing in the dirt, wrestling anything but paying attention. A couple of the kids are so small the helmets cover their eyes. lol My son is very coordinated and pays attention…. not common for 6 year olds!

Great Trip to Rubicon

September 17th, 2005

The boys and I had a great off road trip to the Rubicon. The bronco performed flawlessly and we concquered most of the obstacles. There were a few that I went aroound because of the fact they were dangerous and we had 6 year old with us. All in all it was a blast, fishing, camping under the stars and doing it all with the kids will be a great memory for all. i need to build a rack for the top of the bronco.. need more stuff for comfort!

Off Roading Trip

April 3rd, 2005

I’m planning a rockcrawling trip to the rubicon this summer. Been building an old bronco for a few years and now it’s ready - I hope! lol My son and a friend of mine and his son will pack up what camping gear will fit and head of for some wheeling, fishing and just plain good fun with our boys!

Love the Fall

November 12th, 2004

Boy the trees are extraordinary this year. The colors …. I can’t describe. I like the seasons, the change in the air. Fall signals the end of the  growing season, a time when things slow down and prepare for the winter.

Time to put away the summer stuff, clean up and get ready for the rains. I like fall with the moderate temps, shorter days and brilliant foliage. The holidays are just around the corner and a new year will be upon us berfore we know it.

Speeding ticket

August 26th, 2004

Gotta a ticket today for speeding. I was in a hurry going ten over the posted limit… nothing too extreme.

Just my luck I got the ball busting young buck that was apparantly behind on his “speeding ticket quota”.

No breaks from this guy…. I’m lucky he didn’t cuff me and stuff  me! What an a..hole!

Oh well have had a ticket in years so I guess traffic school is in my future!

Learning the Guitar

January 8th, 2004

So I’m learning to play the guitar. Talk about difficult……. good players make it look so easy!

It’s as if I have ten thumbs and  my fingers are sore as heck.

I have always wanted to play so it’s sort of a new years resolution if you will.

Playing is one thing, learning is a whole different thing! Oh well just gotta keep at it.
